I know it has been a while since I’ve written an update here, but I have basically been living on the beach since the previous write-up. Please forgive my lack of reports! Anyway, just a quick recap what’s been going on: The hot early season bite we had tapered off to a moderate pick and somewhere along the line turned into a mid-summer lull, lasting about a week or so.

It seems that every week gets better and better! This past week was full of some very cool stuff. Over the past few weeks, I had been talking with Keith over at Monmouth University about tagging sharks. I’ve tagged them plenty before, but never with electronic tags, which is what he had in mind. On a completely unrelated note, Ben of Barstool Outdoors had wanted to film a shark-filled episode.
