– WHAT IF IT RAINS?
Your trip will take place rain or shine. In the event of extreme weather, such as very heavy winds, and extended ongoing lightning, we may need to reschedule.
– DO YOU USE CHUM TO LURE THE SHARKS CLOSER?
No. There is no need for chum, as the sharks are already close.
It is important to note that we fish for sharks because they are there, sharks aren’t there because we fish for them.
Furthermore, the use of chum from the surf is not very effective.
– DO WE KEEP THE SHARKS?
No. Qualifying sharks are tagged in cooperation with Dunton Lab of Monmouth University, and then quickly released back into the ocean.
-WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY QUALIFYING SHARKS?
Generally speaking, we only tag sharks that have the energy to withstand the process.
In some cases, after a long battle, we expedite the release process to ensure the sharks survival.
