Monster Blacktip, Bluefish, Jacks, 1st Shark & More…

This Monday and Tuesday, Jake came over to the east coast with his friend John from Ohio for a fun trip with the objective of putting him on his first ever shark. In fact, this was John’s first time ever saltwater fishing. Within the first few hours we loaded up on Bluefish and Jacks. Once the tide switched it wasn’t long before we were on some shark action, Jake casted a bait and handed the rod off as he coached John through his first ever shark! We had tough conditions both days, but the total count was 4 for 6 on Blacktips, one of which was a monster! Nonstop Bluefish action, a dozen or so Jacks, a few Ladyfish and Jake rounded it out with a Snook caught on a spoon!
I am very excited to do more of this type of fishing and congrats to John on his first shark and his saltwater experience being a big success! It’s always great when you get to fish with fellow hardcore fishermen who are ready and willing to spend all the time in takes to get it done. Already looking forward to our next adventure in a few weeks. In the meantime, stay tuned as spring time begins here in south Florida!
